Rachel Vijayaraj is a partner of Brown Wright Stein, heading up the charity law and not-for-profits practice.
Rachel also has a broader practice in tax advisory, trust law, complex estate planning, succession planning and estate administration.
The interaction of Rachel's skill sets, together with her collaborative approach with accountants and financial advisors, enables Rachel to provide practical and wholistic advice to individuals and family groups.
In the not-for-profit practice, Rachel frequently advises philanthropists, institutions, charities and their advisors on:
structuring;
establishment of charities;
ACNC regulation;
eligibility for tax concessions;
corporate governance.
Rachel is a member on various Tax Institute committees including the Not-for-Profit Intensive and Noosa Intensive, and is a regular speaker at Tax Institute events.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys a good game of touch football, and proudly captains the BWS touch footy team. Rachel also loves travelling to warm climates with her husband and daughter where there is sand, sea and good food!
